One common issue that property owners experience is concrete sinking. This happens when a concrete slab has been installed improperly. When this instance happens, slab jacking can be just the service that can remedy the problem.

Slab jacking is a form of foundation repair when it comes to concrete. It makes the concrete stronger and prevents it from sinking.

In an article posted on Tristate Paving Company, the benefits of slab jacking were discussed. When a good quality of slab jacking is performed, it can assure that the concrete will have a solid foundation and can last for long.

“Poorly compacted fill dirt, subsurface erosion, and shrinking soils are all also possible in this scenario. While you might assume that you have to replace the concrete, a slab jacker might be able to save your concrete.”

“Slab jacking is a convenient form of concrete maintenance. It can be performed in any kind of weather, hot or cold, and at any time. The injected mixture beneath the piece of concrete makes a long lasting base with minimal disruption. These disruptions can include your landscaping or landscaping and even resulting damages which can be costly and inconvenient to fix. When it comes to slab jacking, nothing needs to be lifted off of the slab. The pump can easily lift both the full weight of the slab and other things placed on it. “When your foundation is being laid, fill dirt is almost always placed beside the house and the garage. This will fill in any voids that were created during the actual construction process of the foundation. It is very rare that a builder will take the time to compact this sand.”

“The soil that is used will consist of solid particles and the voids between these particles. These spaces can cause a number of issues for concrete slabs and the entire building. When there is a concentrated loads, such as slabs or buildings, they can literally squeeze the water and the air from the soils.”

To prevent the issue, slab jacking, otherwise known as Slab Lifting can be a very big help.  Aside from adding strength to concrete, there are other advantages that can be gained from this technique.
